Hands-On Approach
A noteworthy takeaway included specifying design revisions to improve repeatability and avoid tool failures. The implementation of my suggestions resulted in a more robust and efficient mechanism which could reliably form complex nylon tube shapes.
2014
This project evaluated the ability of a dynamic tool to accurately form 22.5mm Nylon 6 tubes for a major automotive OEM. I was assigned to test the newly built device as part of a sample build for the OEM's engineering team as part of my internship at MPC.
