Class Ring
Precious stone cavity replaced by seal stamp feature
A Ring on the Cheap
To commemorate my graduation from university, I decided to apply my casting and 3D modeling knowledge to a real item: a custom class ring with engravings. The idea was that not only could I truly personalize it, but I could also do it for a fraction of the list price. And let's be honest: what mechanical engineering graduate wouldn't prefer making over buying?
Latest Update:
I decided to create a wax/ink seal stamp feature to replace the precious stone cavity. As nice as a stone would look, going the non-traditional route seemed more interesting.

Next Steps:
3D printed versions at 1.00x, 1.05x and 1.10x the model size have been ordered. The best fitting ring will then be cast by me using a local Balinese jeweler in pure silver. Pictures to come!
